  • Ian Willis, Trauma Patient
  • At 15 years old, Ian Willis was excited to ride in a recently-licensed friend’s car. But in March, 2013, a quick, fun errand turned tragic.

The car crashed into a guardrail, leaving Ian with multiple broken bones and a traumatic brain injury. Bristol Regional Medical Center’s trauma team saved Ian’s life, but he still faced a long hospital stay and months of rehabilitation and therapy.

Now, though, Ian is a healthy 17-year-old who is enjoying his senior year and looks forward to college.
